This article provides an overview of the Microsoft 365 integration possibilities and how to enable it for your user in TIQ Time.
Connecting this channel allows you to track emails, calendar events, and time spent on documents for accurate time recording. Please, note that this is meant to be used as a replacement of the TIQ Office Add-in, not to be used complementary.
To activate it, in the Timesheet, go to Settings -> My Channels.
You will see the list of channels that have been enabled for your organisation:
Select Microsoft 365 to configure this channel:
Click 'Connect to your Microsoft 365 account'. If your company has SSO configured you will be redirected to your Microsoft account login dialogue. Enter your business account' login and password and click 'Sign in'
If your company doesn't have SSO in place you will be redirected to a login dialogue where you will need to fill out your TIQ Time user login and password.
Please note: your organisation's administrator may need to grant access for the M365 integration in your AzureAD/EntraID. If you cannot proceed with connecting your M365 account, make sure to reach out to a responsible person in your IT team to grant access first.
After successful sign in you will see a connection confirmation screen:
Select 'Connect Microsoft 365 to TIQ' and you will be redirected to a dialogue for customising channel settings that include the following activities:
Synchronise incoming emails (and how much time a suggestion generated based on this activity should be)
Synchronise outgoing emails (and how much time a suggestion generated based on this activity should be)
Syncronise time spent on documents in OneDrive
synchronise calendars (and select available calendar(s) in which appointments should be tracked)
After completing your setup you can 'Save changes' or 'Disconnect Microsoft 365 channel' in case you changed your mind.
After completing the setup you will see the list of connected channels with 'Active' status and 'Edit settings' button which allows you to disconnect a channel or update settings for your Microsoft 365 channel.
